We Climbed Snowdon

On March 22nd 2025,

Our First charity fund Raiser!

Our family lost Nicky Rosevear on 19th March 2015 to Motor Neurone Disease aged only 45. She was an amazing mother, always putting family before anything else. She adored her job as a teaching assistant at Whitleigh Community Primary School where she created the Reading scheme at the school and constantly put others struggles before her own, even after her diagnosis.

This loss hit our family really hard, and the circumstances and events that occurred after our loss made it even harder.

It has been 10 years since her death, and to commemorate her memory and strength we wanted to challenge ourselves to climb Mount Snowdon, a location which meant a lot to her.

Her children, their partners, close friends and her granddaughter will all be taking on this challenge as a joint effort support network, and not to mention our little Pebble (Joe’s 2 month old baby boy at the time) who will be carried along the way!

This challenge will be a test of our mental and physical abilities! Climbing, balancing, and trying to walk without falling out with each other (the biggest challenge of all) but we wanted to do something to raise awareness of this horrible disease and in memory of an amazing woman.

Myself, family and close friends have decided to undertake the challenge to climb mount Snowdon to raise money for MNDA.

This is to mark the 10 year anniversary of my partners mothers passing to this horrendous disease

Affordable Waste Services donated a % of profits per waste job completed in the lead up to our climb, we helped raise £537.58 + £134.40 Gift Aid towards Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)

Moral of the story: No matter how tough the situation, No matter how high the mountain. We help each other
